Cultural background
Bead looms are known for beauty and a source of math. The key concept is symmetry. Four Fold symmetry is used for this. They are the exact same image sometimes with a different color. Reflection symmetry is the same image on both sides no matter how you look at it. Base four counting is using a coordinate grid with x ad y axis. In the third example it is used for healing ceremonies. It is shown as a coat and used as an article of clothing. Four fold symmetry is used in the bead loom form. Bead work was made before European contact. Two examples of how these designs were used were a boat and a belt.
